I want to see the kangaroos! Where are they? Perhaps I should go to the jungle camp or to the zoo? Are they afraid to see me? Why? I'm sad. Am I so scary?

Hj everyone,

its monday the 26.01.2011 and it was my first school day in australia.
I was really nervous but everyone was nice to me. There is something different here, they finish primary after grade 6. The fisrst kangaroo Ive seen was a dead one lying in the midlle of the road.

Amazing Week

Wow... I had an amazing week!!! Everything is so different from Germany. After my first week in school I have to say, it is very hard to keep you all up to date. But I have got some time today, because everybody is at the beach and I'm staying at home - I'm so horribly sunburned :-(

 

Today I give you an overview for the whole week. I will give you a short report on every single day beginning on monday

Surfing

This is steve. We were at the beach yesterday. He is a very good surfer. He said, he will teach me to surf. I tried it once but it is very hard to paddle and to catch a wave. But will not give up :-)

Arrival

Hello my people back in Germany. I arrived in Brisbane one week ago.The flight was very long. We have very nice weather, it is sunny and warm. My hostfamily is very friendly. Jack is the father and Mary the mother. And they have two children. One is Steve he is 16 and the girls name is Caroline, she is 12. I have my own room and they told me I can go out when ever I want, I just have to tell them. The beach is very close and there are a lot of surfers. School starts next week, so I still have some holidays.
